Raw & Real

Healing from the Inside Out

The noise around nutrition gets louder every year. This guide goes in the opposite direction — back to first principles, back to what the body was designed to receive. Whether you've been in the health space for some time or you're simply looking for a perspective you haven't found yet, this was written with you in mind.

Health is not complicated.
We've made it complicated.
Underneath all the noise, the body already knows what it needs.

What this is

Not a protocol.
A framework.

This guide isn't here to add another layer to the noise. It steps back from it entirely — and looks at health from the most objective starting point available: nature itself.

What you'll find here is a framework built from years of genuine testing. Simple enough to start today. Grounded enough to hold up long after you've finished reading.

For who

  • You've followed the research, tried different approaches, and still feel like something hasn't clicked
  • You're an athlete or high performer looking for an edge in energy, performance, and recovery
  • You're curious about feeling better in your body and open to a perspective that challenges conventional advice
  • You've been in the raw or plant-based space for a while and want a framework that goes deeper than mainstream vegan
  • Something in your body has been asking for a change, and you haven't known where to start

What's inside

The case for raw.
And everything you need to begin.

Why Raw

A first-principles look at what healing actually is, why food matters at a level most nutrition science ignores, and what the body was actually designed to receive.

Why Fruit

Not all plant foods are the same. This section makes the case for why fruit sits at the top of the spectrum — and why that distinction matters more than most people realize.

Five Principles for Long-Term Success

Practical, specific, and counterintuitive — the handful of things I've seen make or break every transition to this way of eating. Not rules to follow perfectly. Principles that keep working.

Appendix

A working reference: staple foods, seven days of sample meals, recipes for the transition, and recommended reading for anyone who wants to go deeper.

Where this came from

C

Chad Sasaki

I came to this the way most people do — through a lifetime of health problems that conventional medicine had names for but no real solution to. Changing my diet did what years of treatment hadn't.

Once I felt that shift, I went all in. I tested everything I could find. Some of it worked partially. None of it fully delivered — not until I came across a body of work pointing toward a fruit-centered diet as the most species-appropriate way for humans to eat. The difference was immediate, measurable, and unlike anything I'd experienced with other approaches.

Since then I've competed in multiple long-distance triathlons. My performance and recovery are better than they've ever been. I haven't been sick in years. What started as a search for physical answers opened into something much larger.

This guide is the framework I wish I'd had at the beginning.
